Last week should have been the CrossFit Games. I know I missed seeing all the inspirational feats of human strength from my favorite CrossFit athletes. So, we’re going to do the next best thing: highlight our favorite female athletes to get you motivated and share our favorite healthy recipes to help you train like a champion.
Three Female CrossFit Athletes Who Will Inspire You
Katrin Davidsdottir
Besides being a two-time CrossFit Games champion (2015 and 2016), Katrin Davidsdottir is also a champion for women’s empowerment.
In addition to being an incredibly ripped athlete, the Iceland native recently teamed up with Reebok’s “Be More Human” campaign, joining women like Wonder Woman’s Gal Gadot and model Gigi Hadid. In the campaign, Davidsdottir speaks out against the myth of perfection, saying every woman should instead aspire “to become better, become fitter, stronger, healthier, and happier.”
We couldn’t agree more.
You can follow Katrin on Instagram for WOD inspiration – and inspiration to be a better human.
Molly Vollmer
Molly Vollmer is a five-time CrossFit Regional participant and two-time CrossFit Games competitor. But even more impressive? She’s a mom – and she’s currently pregnant with her second baby.
On her Instagram, Vollmer shares her story about staying fit while raising and/or growing humans. For any woman trying to balance parenthood and fitness, Vollmer is truly the motivation you need.
Lauren Fisher
Lauren Fisher is a CrossFit athlete that is an inspiration to adults and an excellent role model for young girls struggling with confidence and body issues. Fisher is already a seven-time Games veteran at just 26 years old.
Besides being an experienced CrossFitter, she’s also the founder of “Grown Strong,” a brand dedicated to showing women that strong is beautiful. The brand focuses on empowering women through healthy mindsets, fitness resources, and nutrition support.
Her Instagram feed is full of positive body talk, mental motivation, and fitness tips for athletes of all abilities.
