Our 4th Annual Swole Sisters' Day is right around the corner! We celebrate our gym besties this year on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
Swole Sister's Day is a time to celebrate the gym friends who are always there for us, both in the gym and out. These women get us through tough workouts, laugh with us (never at us), and give us a shoulder to cry on when we need it.
Every year, we get hundreds of entries from women all across the country, telling us why their Swole Sister is the best. From now until August 20, we will be sharing some of the nomination stories we received in the past.

What's a Swole Sister?
We define a Swole Sister as someone who is physically, mentally, and emotionally strong. She's pushing you to go farther, both in the gym and your personal life. She's your "ride or die" during a WOD, but also on a random Wednesday night.
We share a unique bond with our Swole Sisters, and that bond deserves to be celebrated!

Saturday, August 20, is our 4th Annual Swole Sisters' Day event. The event includes:

Why do you consider the nominee to be your "Swole Sister"?
She has been my biggest supporter in my fitness journey and would literally give the shirt off her back to anyone who asked. She has used her fitness to inspire others to be the best they can be and is always there to help out in any way possible.
How does your Swole Sister make your life better?
Without her, I would be lost. She is my best friend and has never asked for anything in return. She is my biggest cheerleader, and I would be so lost on my fitness journey without her.
How does your Swole Sister impact the lives of others?
As we both are military spouses, she is known throughout our base as the go-to person for any questions they may have. If she doesn't know the answer, she will find it for you. She will advocate for anyone without question. She has helped so many new spouses find their way in the crazy thing called military life!
Anything else we should know about your awesome Swole Sister?
She is a mom of three boys, one who needs almost constant care, and she still finds time to be there for everyone else. She is just an amazing person whom I believe deserves [to be recognized].

Why do you consider the nominee to be your "Swole Sister"?
She helped me get into strongman and has been my coach, my training partner, my motivator, and my best friend. She is the Rainbow Brite to my Punisher.
How does your Swole Sister make your life better?
She met me at a low point in my life. After a failed abusive marriage, she got me lifting, got me body-positive again. She is my best friend, even if we are miles apart. She is my shoulder to virtually cry on. She got me hooked on WodBottom.
How does your Swole Sister impact the lives of others?
She loves to listen and give advice. She opens up her garage gym to friends and helps train. She helps promote events in the area and different businesses. She helps promote WodBottom as much as possible.
Anything else we should know about your awesome Swole Sister?
She is a badass mom of four. She is a light to all her friends and goes the extra mile to help others. I love Dazzlin; she is my Swole Sister for life.

Why do you consider the nominee to be your "Swole Sister"?
Throughout the pandemic, she kept me going: training, laughing, encouraging me, and just being present even though we had to social distance. There have been only a few days in the last year that we didn't text. I would have had a much harder time keeping up with a good training regimen had it not been for her being around.
How does your Swole Sister make your life better?
She constantly makes me laugh, which has helped me a lot through my home being flooded during the winter storms, moving because of home repairs (due to damage from that storm), stress of new roles at my job, and pushing me to stay at the top of my game so I can encourage her when she has cases of the "I - don't - wanna"s or is having a day that she needs someone to just be a sympathetic ear without trying to solve her problem.
She and I have also been heavily involved in gift wars, which she started by buying me things to keep me safe if I had to run at night or during my lunch break (an LED light-up vest, visor), virtual race entries, just to name a few things. I have retaliated with things she has loved, and I'm always tickled by her reaction and delight for each one. She makes me want to be a more giving person, and I just really don't know how I would have gotten through this last year without her.
How does your Swole Sister impact the lives of others?
She is an amazing mother, wife, and friend. She had to take on the role of teacher while working from home and still managed to be present in the lives of her friends and family. She supported her brother through his weight loss surgery and continues to help him on his journey to a healthier lifestyle.
She has sarcoidosis, but continues to push herself so that she can stay healthy and take care of her family.
